MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – More than 2,000 trucks are waiting to enter the EU, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Border Committee.
The busiest border crossing is the Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina on the Belarusian side), where over 640 trucks are queuing up to enter Latvia. Its personnel cleared 29% of the normal number of trucks.
Over the day, the least number of trucks entered the EU through the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log). The checkpoint handled only 17% of trucks.
As of 10:00, about 480 trucks were queuing up in front of the Polish checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi). In the last 24 hours, the border checkpoint accepted 68% of the normal number of trucks.
