MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) - Deputies of the House of Representatives of the
seventh convocation have made a great contribution to the stability and
peaceful life in Belarus, Chairman of the House of Representatives
Vladimir Andreichenko told the media, BelTA has learned.
Vladimir Andreichenko noted that the time of the tenure of the outgoing House of Representatives was not easy. "We all saw how both external forces and internal ill-wishers tried to destabilize the situation in Belarus. But the president and the authorities worked exclusively in the interests of our people. The deputies of the House of Representatives made a great contribution to the common cause," the speaker of the lower house of Belarusian Parliament said.
According to him, the House of Representatives of the seventh convocation worked effectively. The deputies actively cooperated with the authorities at all levels. "We worked to resolve issues promptly (such was a challenge at the time), to make the necessary decisions to counter sanctions, ensure the security of the Republic of Belarus. In the context of the hybrid war, we adopted thoughtful, decisive and sometimes very tough bills. With the time we made sure that we did it right. Today, we have peace and stability in the country, the border is secure, the economy is growing, people have jobs," Vladimir Andreichenko stressed.
The House of Representatives of the seventh convocation adopted 364 laws, 11 of them were developed directly by deputies. MPs also carried out serious work to bring the legislation up to date with the updated Constitution and developed about 90 laws.
