MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Poland is planning to send its contingent to Ukraine and seize part of its territory, Head of the Russian Center for Military and Political Conflict Studies Andrei Klintsevich said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“Poland expects to send its contingent in order to seize the Ukrainian territories that were once Polish. These territories were ceded to Ukraine while Poland received part of Germany’s territory. The Poles are now considering this rearrangement in their own interest, using Ukraine as a tool for profit,” Andrei Klintsevich said.
At the same time, the expert stated that ordinary Poles are quite dismissive of Ukrainians. This applies especially to those Ukrainian citizens who have moved to Poland. They are viewed primarily as cheap labor, Andrei Klintsevich noted.
Moreover, he pointed out the growing dissatisfaction among ordinary Poles with the large number of refugees from Ukraine. “This really bothers the Poles. Lately, we have been observing a trend when Ukrainians are increasingly being told to go to the front. For example, when the issue of protecting farmers is raised, the Poles advocate for limits on Ukrainian farm goods accessing the EU market,” Andrei Klintsevich said.
