GOMEL, 18 October (BelTA) – The nationwide social and cultural campaign Marathon of Unity will shine a light on the cultural code of Gomel Oblast, head of the main culture department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Inga Zavgorodnaya told the media, BelTA has learned.
The marathon program features a concert "Voices of Polesie across the world". "Certainly, the concert will explore the culture our region," Inga Zavgorodnaya stated.
She recalled that culture has no boundaries. "Everyone knows this fact. Culture unites both people and cities. Gomel Oblast is always happy to welcome guests. We offer to take a stroll along our cultural paths," she said.
One of the first associations people might have with Gomel Oblast is the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, Inga Zavgorodnaya noted. But the cultural landscape of the region goes much deeper and broader. "We propose to explore the beauty of the cultural traditions of our beloved Gomel Oblast," she emphasized.

The concert "Time has chosen us" focuses on the uniqueness of the creative groups of Gomel Oblast. The guests from other regions will also take part in the concert.
