Opinion: Every Polish serviceman in no-go zone is in the crosshairs now

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – All Polish officers and soldiers serving in the no-go zone at the border should now be viewed as potential perpetrators, political analyst, Director of the Center for European Integration Yuri Shevtsov wrote in his Telegram channel, BelTA has learned.

“A scrupulous examination is needed. But in any case, there are already obvious facts – refugees were beaten, 14 migrants were reported dead, water cannons were unleashed in the cold, etc. Sooner or later, the Polish security bloc and some politicians will inevitably face trial,” the expert said.

According to him, many factors will determine who will go to court. “Yet, every officer and soldier who serves in the no-go zone, should be suspected of committing a grave crime. Any court will try to put the blame on them anyway. It is likely that Polish military might start deserting en masse. After all, defectors will not face trial,” Yuri Shevtsov concluded.
