KOBRIN, 15 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Constitution reflects the mentality of our nation, First Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov said at a ceremony to present passports to young citizens of the Republic of Belarus in the city of Kobrin on 15 March, BelTA has learned.
“Today we celebrate the Constitution Day, a big day for the country. The basic law is a reflection of the mentality of our people, is an instrument of legal regulation. The Constitution defines an individual, their rights and freedoms as the main value of the state. The Constitution also defines the scope of the duties of each citizen. The symbiosis of rights and responsibilities makes the Constitution the most important document for each citizen. It determines the development of the state,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said. A ceremony to present passports was held in the community center in Kobrin as part of the Belarusian campaign ‘We are citizens of Belarus”. Maksim Ryzhenko gave the passports to 19 school students from the city of Kobrin and Kobrin District. Those were A grade students, winners and participants of various competitions and Olympiads, leaders of the social movement, and athletes.
Twenty best school students also received the BRSM membership cards. The ceremony was also attended by Brest Oblast Vice Governor Gennady Borisyuk and head of the Kobrin District Executive Committee Mikhail Grishkevich.
