New exhibit in Palace of Independence! Why Lukashenko gets bison glass figurine filled with rapeseed oil

MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) - An unusual exhibit - a bison glass figurine filled with rapeseed oil - has been brought to the Palace of Independence. The first pictures of the figurine have been posted on Instagram pul_inside.

The president got such a gift from the workers of Neman Glassworks. The bison is a symbol of Grodno Oblast, where the glass factory is located.

The glass figurine has been filled with rapeseed oil for a reason. “Of all types of oil I consume only rapeseed oil,” the head of state once said. He decided to focus on this crop at one time. Cooking, however, is by no means the only field of application of rapeseed oil. It is also very good for health.

This year Grodno Oblast has got a record high rapeseed harvest. “Rapeseed is the new gold of Grodno Oblast”, the inscription that adorns the base of the bison glass figurine reads. Visit Instagram pul_inside to see how the specialists of the glassworks in Berezovka worked on it.

In one of the episodes of the project “After the Fact: Lukashenko’s Decisions” BelTA told the story how Aleksandr Lukashenko gave Neman Glassworks a second life. In another episode we explained the reason behind the president’s decision to make the focus on rapeseed.
