MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) – Minsk hosted the official opening of the updated National Board of Honor, which features 60 new entities that demonstrated outstanding social and economic performance in 2024, on 30 April in the run-up to Labor Day, BelTA has learned.
The tradition of putting the best of the best to the National Board of Honor was revived about 25 years ago. Since then, leading regions and enterprises have been selected annually. This year’s winners were announced following the signing of Decree No. 168 by the head of state on 23 April. The winning entities are Grodno Oblast, Minsk Oblast, Mogilev Oblast and the city of Minsk, as well as Zhabinka District of Brest Oblast, Verkhnedvinsk District of Vitebsk Oblast, Smorgon District of Grodno Oblast, Minsk District and Nesvizh District of Minsk Oblast, the city of Brest, Moskovsky District of Brest and Moskovsky District of Minsk. The National Board of Honor consistently features leading organizations from various economic sectors. This year, it has included nine enterprises of manufacturing industry, nine - of agriculture and fishery, three construction companies, two forestry enterprises, and 24 service-sector organizations.
It is for the seventh time in the history of this so-called competition the name of the Belarusian capital is put on the Board of Honor, and the names of the largest Minsk enterprises can regularly be seen on it. This time there are 12 of them.
“It has become a tradition for Minsk to celebrate the fulfillment of the given indicators, and we are very proud of the fact. Behind these figures is the hard work of Minsk City Executive Committee employees, the staff of enterprises. We produce 30% of the gross regional product. These achievements are reflected on the Board of Honor today. Integral, Minsk National Airport, Minsk Greenhouse Plant and many other of our enterprises work hard every year, and have their efforts rewarded. We support the tradition to place their names on local boards of honor in every district of the city,” Minsk First Vice Mayor Nadezhda Lazarevich said. “The head of state emphasized: “The way Minsk works shows the way the whole country works.” Of course, we are determined to do more. And, of course, it is more difficult to do in the Belarusian capital which represents the largest concentration of business. The more opportunities there are, the higher the demand is.”
Integral, a manufacturer of integrated circuits and liquid crystal indicators, is one of the Belarusian capital's enterprises that has been inscribed on the National Board of Honor for the second year in a row. Andrei Kaloshkin, Deputy Director General for Marketing and Sales, points out that the success of the previous year only spurred Integral to work even harder. All the indicators in 2024 were met in full, and the production growth amounted to 138%. The manufacturer has started the 2025 year well, finishing the first quarter even with some advance of the achieved indicators.
“Integral has orders to perform until the end of the year. We have a lot of orders. There is every reason to hope that we will finish the current year successfully as well. Recognition of our merits stimulates us to work harder,” the deputy director general said. “We are already looking at the areas of development for the next five years. The country has drawn up a program of microelectronics development until 2030. We will keep working and improving.”
Among the industrial organizations, whose labor successes were marked by inscription on the country’s main board of honor board, is Belorusneft. Director General Aleksandr Lyakhov stated that the Year of Quality brought new records and successes to the Belarusian enterprise: in 2024 modern production facilities and subdivisions were opened, promising projects were launched, ties with partners in Russia and China were strengthened. All sectors of the international energy company are still maximally focused on digitalization.
“Last year Belorusneft produced 1,938,000 tonnes of oil - a record-high figure over the past 29 years. From the wells drilled in 2024, the Belarusian enterprise extracted more than 203,000 tonnes of raw materials - an unprecedentedly high achievement,” Aleskandr Lyakhov said. “In 2024, our company was actively working within the framework of the country’ largest 3D seismic exploration project - Maysko-Makeyevsko-Dneprovskaya area. On 13 April 2025, its active phase of exploration was completed.”
The global hydraulic fracturing technology enables Belorusneft's specialists to work more actively with hard-to-recover oil and set new records. The company is also proud of its Malanka network of electric charging stations - the largest in the EAEU. The bigger charging station infrastructure and faster car charging are among the results achieved last year.
The Borisov experimental forestry enterprise and the Klichev forestry enterprise have been added to the National Board of Honor. Svetlana Chereichik, deputy head for ideological work of the Klichev forestry enterprise, has been part of the organization for two decades and describes the 400-member team as close-knit and truly united. Their dedication has driven the enterprise’s success.
Mirza Choloyan, director of the Osipovichi Transport Engineering Plant, attributes his team’s success to responsibility and hard work. The company primarily produces railway cars, containers, and tanks for a wide range of cargo, exporting approximately 95% of its products.
Verkhnedvinsk District made significant strides in social and economic development last year. Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee Natalya Demeshko credits the district’s achievements to record-high investments of Br110 million in 2024.
"We are implementing numerous investment projects, with ambitious plans for the next five years," she said. "We are building two dairy complexes, reconstructing the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory as part of the One District - One Project initiative, and developing highly productive agricultural operations, including plans for marbled beef production. Tourism is also expanding, with the Krasny Bor resort aiming to double its capacity. We are improving our transport infrastructure, as our district borders Latvia, and Beltamozhservice plans to construct a transport and logistics center here."
The updated National Honor Board also includes organizations fulfilling vital social functions. This year, the Zvezdny care home in Babinichi and the Postavy social service center have been honored. According to Belarusian Deputy Labor and Social Protection Minister Marina Artemenko, the social sector is the heart of our society, providing care for everyone: from children to the elderly.
"Belarus has 146 social service centers and 89 care homes, meaning those on the Board of Honor truly represent the best of the best," she highlighted. “For instance, the Zvezdny care home in Babinichi has currently eight workshops and 26 different activity groups, ensuring that residents remain engaged and connected rather than feeling isolated. Such initiatives are incredibly valuable."
As the Belarusian Economy Ministry emphasized, the National Board of Honor is a token of public recognition of the significant contribution of administrative and territorial units and enterprises to the social and economic development of the country. Being featured on the National Board of Honor offers stimuli for achieving even better results in the future.
