MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – The National Pediatric Allergy Center has opened in Belarus in line with Healthcare Ministry's Order No. 142 dated 11 February 2025, BelTA reports citing the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.
The center operates at the Pediatric Department (for allergy patients) of Minsk Children's Hospital No. 4.
The center provides highly specialized care to children aged 1 month to 18 years. Four allergists work here, three of whom have the highest qualification category in allergology/immunology; the head of the department has a PhD in medicine.
Patients have access to all kinds of diagnostic tools, including skin tests, tests to identify allergen-specific IgE antibodies to various allergens, mast cell assays to diagnose drug allergies.
If necessary, additional tests can be done at the Minsk Children's Infectious Diseases Hospital, the immunology laboratory of Minsk City Hospital No. 10, the Cell Therapy Department of the Institute of Biophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Consultations and other kinds of assistance are provided by the staff of the Pediatrics Department of Belarusian State Medical University.
