MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – A conference to discuss the mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates by the CIS member states took place in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 27 August. The conference was organized upon the initiative of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee website.
Representatives of the healthcare ministries and government agencies concerned of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the conference.
Participants of the conference shared information about the measures being taken in these countries to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and vaccinate the population against the coronavirus infection. Border crossing rules and the experience of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates were also mentioned.
Representatives of the ministries and government agencies expressed interest in the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates by the CIS member states. They noted it is necessary to take a closer look at the possibility.
