MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) - The MPs of Belarus and Russia should have a lightning-fast response to the statements from the West, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus Boris Gryzlov said during a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko in Minsk on 27 May, BelTA has learned.
"Parliamentary cooperation between Russia and Belarus is very important," Ambassador Boris Gryzlov said.
"In a situation where the collective West threatens not only economic security, but also the sovereignty of our countries (we hear these statements), the actions by MPs are very important. We must have a lightning-fast response in terms of the legal framework to manage this situation. This is very important," the ambassador stressed.
