MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - Moscow will host the next meeting of the CIS Defense Council will be held on 12 November. The Belarusian military delegation will be headed by Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.
The meeting participants are set to consider a number of issues of multilateral military cooperation and sum up the results of the joint activities of the defense ministries of the CIS member states in 2024, agree on documents regulating joint activities in the short and medium term.
The heads of the defense ministers of the CIS member states are expected to discuss the preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and joint activities to perpetuate the memory of the Soviet soldiers who died on the battlefields.
