MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) - The Minsk International Film Festival Listapad 31st Edition will be running in the Belarusian capital from 31 October to 7 November, Irina Driga, head of the Cinematography Department at the Culture Ministry, said at a press conference as the applications for the film festival were announced open, BelTA learned.
"The film festival will be held from 31 October to 7 November 2025. The main venue is Minsk. Screenings will be traditionally organized not only in Minsk, but also in regional and district centers, so that the whole country feels the vibe of the festival," Irina Driga said.
Traditionally, the festival program will offer a lot of interesting things. For example, this year Belarus is chairing the EAEU. So we have incorporated the days of national cinema of the EAEU member states and observer countries. "We have already sent invitations to the ministers of culture of these countries to prepare the programs of these days and send creative delegations. It will be an interesting program,” she believes.
This year, on the initiative of public associations, we will organize the roundtables with the participation of film producers and chairmen of film unions that are members of the Confederation of Cinematographers' Unions, Irina Driga informed. “Traditionally, Listapad Week will be held at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. Meet-and-greets, workshops and concert programs will be organized at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. There will be open days and other events at the Belarusfilm studio. We have also planned the days of spirituality to screen movies with spiritual and moral themes, meet-and-greets and workshops," she said. More detailed information about the program will be released in the autumn, Irina Driga added.
