Minsk to host International Bibliological Readings on 22-23 April

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – The 17th International Bibliological Readings will be running in the National Library of Belarus on 22-23 April, BelTA learned from the library.

The International Bibliological Readings is one of the country's main platforms for discussing results of scientific research on book culture and literary heritage. “The conference has gained popularity, becoming a major event. It brings together researchers from various countries who share interest in Belarus' book culture, its history, achievements, and prospects,” the National Library stressed.

This year's edition will discuss all important aspects of Belarus' book culture development: from ancient manuscripts to modern information technology. Researchers will look into various topics, from atmosphere of Francysk Skaryna's Bible to characteristic features of modern children's literature.

The program will feature over 80 reports from scholars from seven countries. The conference will be an offline event, although some participants will join the readings online. The event will be streamed live on the internet.

The organizers are the Belarusian Culture Ministry and the National Library.
