Minsk to host Days of Nizhny Novgorod in 2026

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 27 June (BelTA) - The Days of Nizhny Novgorod will take place in Minsk in 2026, Minsk First Vice Mayor Nadezhda Lazarevich told journalists on the sidelines of the 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Nizhny Novgorod on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
“Each forum is truly valuable, especially due to the scale of the meetings. In one place, in one region, we can meet with governors from various regions of the Russian Federation. Just yesterday, we held meetings with three governors and discussed a range of topics and programs for 2025-2026. These included Ulyanovsk Oblast, Penza Oblast, and of course, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. We also met with the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod and the deputy governor [of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast] to discuss an event plan and coordinate certain product supply matters. Naturally, we once again reaffirmed our commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation in culture and education,” Nadezhda Lazarevich noted. “Yesterday, as part of the BelCCI program, we had a meeting with the business community. We learned that businesses are interested in the Forum of Regions and come every year to showcase their capabilities and sign joint contracts and memorandums.”
According to her, the Days of Nizhny Novgorod will be held in Minsk in 2026. This agreement was reached on the sidelines of the Forum of Regions. “It will take place during a summer month, which will be more favorable for people to fully experience the culture, attend concerts, exhibitions, and, of course, sporting events,” the first vice mayor said.
