MOSCOW, 30 November (BelTA) – The 8th international forum Anti-Counterfeit 2020 is set to take place in Minsk on 21-22 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The event is organized by the Belarusian government, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus, the National Center of Intellectual Property, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the international association Anti-Counterfeit, the Association for Intellectual Property Protection BelBrand.
“The forum has established itself as an open platform for communication between representatives of international organizations, government agencies, business and the public on the most important issues related to the protection of intellectual property rights, and also ways to combat illicit trafficking in products in the Eurasian Economic Union,” the EEC said.
The forum participants will discuss practical aspects of combating counterfeiting in the digital environment amid the challenges of 2020, issues related to the marking and traceability systems of goods, the problems of ensuring the safety of goods and counteracting counterfeiting, mechanisms to combat illicit trafficking in tobacco products in the EAEU, intellectual property protection in emergency situations and other topical issues.
