MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – The number of people using Minsk Metro increased by 1.7 million people in January-July 2021, compared with the same stretch a year ago, Minsk Metro spokesman Andrei Drob told BelTA.
“In January-July 2021, Minsk Metro carried 128.5 million passengers. This is almost 1.7 million more journeys on the metro compared with the same period last year. The growth was due to the introduction of the Zelenoluzhskaya metro line,” said Andrei Drob.
The busiest stations were Kamennaya Gorka – 46,000 passengers a day, Ploshchad Lenina – 38,000 and Uruchye – 36,500 passengers. The Zelenoluzhskaya metro line provided its services to about 2.3 million people in January-July 2021. Kovalskaya Sloboda was the most visited station over the period.
