MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Minsk has made it to the Top 5 most romantic cities of the Commonwealth of Independent States, BelTA learned from the Russian think tank TurStat.
The Top 5 features the capitals of Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Moldova: Tbilisi scored 33% of votes, Astana, Baku and Minsk 14% and Chisinau 10%.
Almaty (Kazakhstan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Yerevan (Armenia) received 5% of votes.
The ranking is based on an online survey of Russian tourists. According to the think tank, romantic getaways to the CIS countries during weekends and holidays are estimated at over 1 million trips per year.
