MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – The patriotic forum “The country is behind us. We are the face of the state! took place at the Border Service Institute on 24 February. The event became a unique communication platform designed to unite the efforts and resources of the participants of the patriotic education system, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
“In the Year of National Unity the issues of patriotic education of young people and consolidation of the Belarusian society are relevant. The key topics of the forum are the formation of the historical worldview of the younger generation and the role of modern media in the preservation of the Fatherland's history and historical education. The event was attended by scientists and experts in culture, education, philology, history, psychology, political science, representatives of educational culture and youth policy authorities, local authorities, heads and teachers of educational and cultural institutions, methodologists and heads of youth organizations,” said the State Border Committee.
The forum was opened by the Orchestra of the Belarusian State Academy of Music and the song They Inspire Us. The program of the event included speeches of participants, an interactive exhibition of the Border Service Institute and the exhibition of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics “"They Fought for the Motherland”.
The forum also comprised panel discussions “Historical, cultural, theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of a patriot personality”, “Modern psychological, pedagogical and information technology as a platform for patriotic education”, and also master classes “Reloading. Excursion to the Museum of the Belarusian Border Service History”, “From Idea to Project”.
