MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – More than 3.5 million cinema lovers attended Minsk cinemas in 2019, BelTA learned at a press conference from Olga Bogovarova, the head of repertoire planning and forecasting at the film distribution company Kinovideoprokat of the Minsk City Hall.
“Last year we registered 3,594,000 cinema viewers, which was up by 15% from 2018 or by 289,000,” said Olga Bogovarova.
The Top 20 of the most popular movies of 2019 features Russian and foreign-made films of different genres. Avengers: Endgame became the leader of the Minsk cinema showings, with Joker and The Lion King placed second and third.
Olga Bogovarova also pointed out that quite a few Belarusian films came out in 2019: the Black Dog, Strip and War, the Ghoulies, II, Sasha's Hell, the Rusty Beasts and others.More about Society
