MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – The readiness of special-purpose vehicles to operate in spring and summer was examined in the Minsk National Airport, BelTA has learned.
The vehicles are designed to take care of the airfield in spring and summer. The inspection was also supposed to ensure a high level of security of local flights.
A special commission made sure the vehicles and vehicle observation radio beacons were in good order. As many as 18 vehicles will have to take care of the airfield's maintenance in the spring and summer period. Those include runway sweepers, washers, and vacuum cleaners, a road grader, and other ones.
As much as 70% of the special-purpose vehicle fleet of the Minsk National Airport was renewed in the last five years. By the way, snow ploughs are still mounted on some of the vehicles in case it starts snowing.
