Minister reveals details of Belarus' first coronavirus case

MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – The student from Iran who tested positive for coronavirus shows very mild symptoms of a disease, he is in satisfactory condition, Belarusian Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik told reporters on 28 February, BelTA has learned.

The young man lived in a rented apartment. He has been taken off to hospital and is under medical supervision now. His temperature does not rise above 37.4° C, the minister said.

“The student is in absolutely satisfactory condition, just like all the others under medical supervision,” Vladimir Karanik said.

The students who contacted with the Iranian national are also under medical surveillance. “In addition to that, together with the Education Ministry we are thinking of ways to separate patient flows,” the minister underlined.
