BAKU, 13 November (BelTA) - The speech of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the World Climate Change Summit (COP29) in Baku is widely quoted by colleagues, Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection minister Sergei Maslyak told the media, BelTA has learned.
The forum continues its work. On 13 November the Belarusian minister participated in various events and held meetings with colleagues on the sidelines of the summit. "The president's speech is widely quoted today. Colleagues, among other things, compare COP29 with an environmental ‘bazaar’,” Sergei Maslyak noted. "The president's remark was absolutely correct. It is time we start to walk the talk."
In this regard, the minister emphasized that Belarus fully meets all its environmental commitments, including those under the Paris Agreement.
