MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) - Each Belarusian region has local cultural and heritage attractions, which should be used in the tourism sector, Belarusian Sports and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk told BelTA.
According to the minister, in modern conditions the tourism industry acquires new vectors of development.
“We need to look for new areas in cooperation with friendly countries, in particular, with the Russian Federation and China. Especially important is the search for mutually beneficial projects with the neighboring regions of the Russian Federation,” the minister said.
According to the minister, Russia offers great prospects, ranging from industrial to other types of tourism. The key issue is the transport connection with the regions of this country.
“If we talk in general, each Belarusian region has its local features of culture, heritage, which should be actively used in different forms of tourism,” Sergei Kovalchuk.
