MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – The situation with Belarusian tourists who are stranded in the United Arab Emirates is under control, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“There is no critical situation. Tourists who arrived on group tours have been provided with accommodation by their travel agencies. The situation is calm, the airspace is open, regular flights to Belarus continue,” the ministry said.
More than 30 Belarusian citizens have contacted the Consulate General of Belarus in Dubai. The consulate is in constant contact with them.
“Various options for bringing them home are being considered, including the involvement of the national air carrier. Citizens can fly home on their own. Diplomats are ready to provide all necessary assistance and are always in touch with Belarusian tourists in the UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to monitor the situation and post regular updates,” the press service added.
