MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – The cultural and educational patriotic campaign Memory Train will kick off in Brest on 22 June, Belarusian Deputy Education Minister Aleksandr Kadlubay said at a meeting of the Commission on Culture, Science and Education of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 8 February, BelTA has learned.

“Launched in 2021, the patriotic campaign Memory Train has become a field trip for learning history. Taking into account the successful experience and significant educational potential of the project, it was decided to hold it annually. This year the campaign will be held from 20 June to 7 July, with an opening ceremony on 22 June in Brest. The campaign participants from our country will be determined in accordance with the national contest ‘I am a patriot of my country’,” the minister said.

As it has been reported, last year the project involved children from Belarus and Russia and also from Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. This year it is planned to engage Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
