Media experts to discuss information security of Belarus-Russia Union State on 17-18 November

MOSCOW, 9 November (BelTA) – Media experts will gather for a video conference "Information security of the Union State: Modern challenges and new technologies" on 17-18 November, the organizers of the event told BelTA.

"The goal of the forum is to strengthen information cooperation between Belarus and Russia, to develop the professional competences of journalists of the Union State media, to intensify the role of the media community in confronting information threats to the Union State," the organizers said.

The event will feature State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Grigory Rapota, representatives of the government bodies of Belarus and Russia, heads and journalists of the central and regional media, teachers and students of the journalism schools of the leading universities of the two countries.

The organizers of the forum are the Union State Standing Committee and the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency.
