MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Malta will host the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, BelTA learnt from the website of the international song competition.
It is expected that the Junior Eurovision will take place on 20 November and be held in a number of venues around Valletta.
The last time Malta hosted the contest was in 2014. This time the competition will have a different format, its organizers say.
The Junior Eurovision does not follow the system of its adult version when the winner hosts the competition next. The European Broadcasting Union decides on the host. In 2015 the Junior Eurovision was hosted by Bulgaria.
