MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – The conversation Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had with the cosmonauts Marina Vasilevskaya and Oleg Novitsky via video communication turned out to be heartful and remarkable. Chairwoman of the Legislation Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, member of the Presidium of the Belarusian Women’s Union Marina Lenchevskaya made the relevant statement in a new episode of BelTA’s YouTube project V Teme [On Point].

“It is awesome that such a bright page was added to the book of history of our state in 2024. Today we are a space power. It is awesome. Over the years of independence our country went through great trials. Nevertheless, we are in outer space already. Certainly, as a true leader our president evaluates this event in a fatherly way. Because it is very important for him. He has lived through historical milestones of our state,” Marina Lenchevskaya said.
In her opinion, Aleksandr Lukashenko’s video conference conversation with Marina Vasilevskaya and Oleg Novitsky via video communication was heartful and remarkable as far as the atmosphere is concerned. “Today there is also the presidential decree on the status of the Belarusian cosmonaut. It has this remarkable number: 100. Both Marina Vasilevskaya and her backup Anastasia Lenkova enjoy the status of Belarusian cosmonauts. As a woman I am doubly pleased that the first Belarusian cosmonaut is a woman,” Marina Lenchevskaya added.
