Lukashenko to attend Belarus' Constitutional Commission meeting due after 1 August

MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – Belarus' Constitutional Commission will convene after 1 August, with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko in attendance, Chairman of the Constitutional Commission and Chairman of the Constitutional Court Piotr Miklashevich said on 7 July, BelTA has learned.

“Another session of the Constitutional Commission will be held after 1 August. The president will take part in it,” Piotr Miklashevich said.

The 8th meeting of the Constitutional Commission is taking place on 7 July. The participants of the meeting are discussing the legal status of proposals to amend the Preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and constitutional provisions on the foundations of the constitutional system, to determine the constitutional status of the Belarusian People's Congress.
