Lithuanian politician comments on sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizers

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - Former Lithuanian presidential candidate Eduardas Vaitkus spoke about the negative consequences of sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizers at a press conference in BelTA’s press center on 13 May.

Klaipeda Port turned out to be of no use to anyone because of the sanctions against Belarusian potash fertilizers. “I will say very briefly about Klaipeda, as I am not well informed about this situation. But they bore losses because of the termination of the transportation of Belarusian potash fertilizers,” said Eduardas Vaitkus.

According to him, political games never take into account the negative consequences that may occur. “This is a so-called political direction, a political order. Economic losses are not taken into account. Although this comes at the expense of the Lithuanian people and the Lithuanian state. But we have such an authority. But it had no right to do so,” said Eduardas Vaitkus.
