MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The governments of the Baltic states are deliberately pushing Europe into a war with Russia, former Lithuanian presidential candidate Eduardas Vaitkus told a press conference in BelTA’s press center on 13 May, BelTA has learned.
“I believe that they are doing it deliberately. This is why I call them traitors,” Eduardas Vaitkus stressed.
He noted that Vilnius, constantly increasing military expenditures, will not be able to enhance Lithuania's security or defense capability in any way. “Now they made plans to designate 5-6% of GDP for this purpose,” Eduardas Vaitkus emphasized. He added that some Lithuanian politicians have openly stated the need to start a military confrontation with Russia.
“Now Lithuania is working hard to dehumanize Russians. They call Russians terrorists, because Russia is allegedly a terrorist state,” Eduardas Vaitkus emphasized. Some politicians even allowed themselves to say that “Russia is a country of cannibals”.
