MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) — The Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai has cleared 18% of the normal number of trucks over the day, BelTA learned from Belarus’ State Border Committee.
About 1,500 trucks are waiting to enter Lithuania. During the day, the Lithuanian border crossing Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side) accepted the least amount of vehicles: 88 trucks out of the possible 500, that is 3 trucks out of 20 per hour. The Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni) cleared 35% of the normal number of trucks from Belarus.
In front of the Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina), 680 trucks are waiting to enter the EU. Personnel of the border crossing handled 41% of trucks.
The Polish border checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi) checked 70% of trucks entering Poland.
The queue of 150 cars is waiting to enter Poland near the only Polish border checkpoint for passenger cars Terespol (Brest). The border checkpoint has cleared 41% of the normal number of cars during the day. Moreover, 21 buses are waiting to enter the EU in front of Terespol.
