MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) - Border guards on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border in Ivye District discovered a dead wild boar, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
The deceased animal was discovered by a border patrol on 19 November. The boar was moving from Belarus into Lithuania, but its attempt to cross the European border barrier proved fatal.
The State Border Committee of Belarus has reported 57 animal deaths along the EU border fences since September 2021.
