Libya shows interest in Belarusian medical vehicles, equipment

MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) - Libya is interested in Belarusian medical vehicles and equipment, Minister of Health of the Government of National Stability Dr. Osman Abdel Jalil told the media as he visited Minsk Research and Treatment Center of Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, BelTA learned.

When visiting the center, the foreign guests toured an exhibition of medical equipment and ambulances made by various medical companies.
“We are very impressed with the vehicles on display. Tomorrow we will hold a meeting at the Healthcare Ministry and set certain goals. We are very interested in mobile medical technology. We are also interested in medical equipment and drugs that we saw at the exhibition. An agreement was reached on the admission of applicants from Libya to Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU),” Minister of Health Dr. Osman Abdel Jalil said.


He noted that the delegation had very positive impressions of the healthcare system of Belarus. When visiting BSMU, the foreign guests hailed the level of training of students.
Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev noted that cooperation with Libya has been gaining momentum. “I am grateful to our colleagues from Libya for finding the time to come visit us and see with their own eyes what we talked about,” he said.

The minister added that the foreign guests were also given a toured around a new BSMU building. During the visit, training of Libyan citizens in Belarus was discussed.
