MOSCOW, 18 January (BelTA) – Belarus, Russia will stand shoulder to shoulder defending their independence, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference when asked about how Belarus and Russia will respond to the NATO military buildup near the Union State’s borders.
"If the West decides to give in to the self-destructive logic, I assure you that Russia and Belarus will stand shoulder to shoulder defending their independence and interests. There is no doubt about that," Sergey Lavrov added.
Belarus and Russia have all the necessary means to resist the NATO hostile intentions, the Russian top diplomat assured.
