
MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Everything that the Belarusian defense industry does is aimed at maintaining peace and strengthening the country’s defense capability, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus said at the opening of the 12th edition of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2025 in Minsk on 21 May, BelTA has learned.

“MILEX 2025 is taking place in a significant year - the year of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The price that we paid for the victory does not allow us to forget that peace is the most important thing on earth. Only in conditions of peace can a person make plans, grow, achieve new heights. Everything that the Belarusian defense industry does is aimed at maintaining peace, strengthening the country’s defense capability and technological sovereignty and expanding international cooperation,” said Dmitry Pantus.

The chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry noted that Belarus demonstrates its openness and is willing to work with those partners who are committed to equal and mutually beneficial cooperation.

“This year MILEX is being held at a new venue - the Minsk International Exhibition Center. The capabilities of the modern exhibition complex will allow us to showcase the country’s achievements in the defense sector even in a more impressive way. Many thanks to everyone who responded to our invitation and found the time and opportunity to visit Belarus,” emphasized Dmitry Pantus.
