MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov gave instructions to the leadership of the internal affairs bodies of Vitebsk Oblast on how to maintain public order and provide assistance to election commissions at polling stations, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The minister highlighted the main aspects of preparations for the single voting day. He urged to maintain a high level of security during the election period.
“One of the main tasks during the election period is to ensure the safety of members of election commissions and their families. People must be able to work calmly,” Ivan Kubrakov emphasized. According to him, retired employees of internal affairs bodies can be of great help in maintaining law and order.
