MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – The program for the next five years will be outlined in the pre-election program of the president, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi told the media, BelTA has learned.
Following the first meeting of the Presidium of the Belarusian People's Congress, Dmitry Krutoi said: "At the next meetings, the Presidium will mainly focus on the preparation of the program of social and economic development of the country for the next five-year period. This program will be outlined in the pre-election program of the president. It will be further developed in the President's Address, which the president also delivers at the Belarusian People's Congress."
As it was previously reported, the next meeting of the Belarusian People's Congress is to be held after the presidential election. Dmitry Krutoi also confirmed this.
During the meeting of the Presidium of the Belarusian People's Congress, Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that Belarus' presidential election will be held on 26 January and spoke about the program that will be presented to voters. “Since we are more or less on the same page, the program of the incumbent president, which is being developed by all of us today, will be published for the general public in January or even December. After the presidential election we will use this program as a blueprint to set detailed tasks for the next year and, perhaps, the next five-year period,” the head of state said.
