MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) - The election campaign in Belarus was open, Kwaak Young Hoon, an independent observer from the Republic of Korea, told the journalists at the CEC Information Center, BelTA has learned.
“As an observer who monitored this process and saw its openness, [I can say that] it was a fair process. So I would notice that what they [the Western counties] say from the outside is not very honest,” Kwaak Young Hoon said.
He admitted that he was surprised and not surprised at the same time when he heard that the European Union did not recognize the results of the election. However, he wondered what the point of the statements from abroad is.
Kwaak Young Hoon believes that politics should unite people rather than divide them.
