MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – The visit of Pakistan's parliamentary delegation to Belarus will give momentum to bilateral cooperation, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Minsk on 20 August, BelTA learned.
The parliamentary elections in Pakistan were held recently and the newly elected legislature has started its work. On this occasion, Natalya Kochanova congratulated Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his election as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and wished him success in this responsible work.
"It is symbolic that your visit takes place in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. We are confident that your visit will give momentum to our cooperation," Natalya Kochanova said.
