GRODNO, 1 July (BelTA) - Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko will open the second day of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia with a meeting with the authorities of Belarusian and Russian regions on 1 July, BelTA has learned.
The program of the forum's day two will include the plenary session “The role of interregional cooperation in deepening the Union State integration processes”. Attending the event will be heads of ministries and departments, government agencies, enterprises and organizations, representatives of Belarusian and Russian business.
The forum traditionally features ceremonies to sign intergovernmental and interregional agreements on cooperation and other documents aimed at expanding the bilateral cooperation.
The 9th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia opened in Grodno on 30 June.
