MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Belarus is a country of opportunities for everyone, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova told reporters at a gala event to present diplomas to graduates with special needs of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is a country of opportunities for everyone. We are glad that in our country those people who have certain health conditions have equal opportunities to fulfill themselves. They get these opportunities at preschools, schools, vocational schools and higher learning institutions. The Council of the Republic keeps its finger on the pulse and, of course, we are actively involved in this work. We have a council under the Council of the Republic, where we deal with issues encountered by people with special needs. We think of more ways to help them. We have enough legal tools to resolve all these issues,” noted Natalya Kochanova.
According to the speaker, it is great that graduates with special needs are welcome at enterprises and organizations of the country. “This is wonderful,” emphasized the chair of the Council of the Republic. “These young people, ambitious and talented, are an example for us, all those people who live in our country. I express my sincere gratitude to the teachers who work with them. I appreciate all those who help people with special needs to integrate. They are the same as us, therefore they should have the same rights, as is specified by our laws,” Natalya Kochanova added.
