MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin met with First Deputy Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
During the meeting Viktor Khrenin outlined the military and political situation in the Eastern Europe region. He mentioned the commonality of approaches towards evaluating challenges and threats in the Central Asia region and spoke highly of Belarus-Uzbekistan military cooperation.
Viktor Khrenin and Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov also laid flowers at the Victory Monument in Minsk.
