BREST, 22 June (BelTA) - More than 600 military-historical re-enactors from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland took part in an event to re-enact the tragic and heroic episodes of the defense of the Brest Fortress at dawn on 22 June.
Military-historical reenactments of the defense of the legendary citadel in Brest have been carried out since 2011. Many Brest residents come to the Brest Fortress in the morning of 22 June. Among the spectators there are many who have traveled many kilometers to see this event with their own eyes.
Organizers of the military-historical re-enactment “22 June 1941 Brest Fortress” are the Brest regional and city administrations with the support of the Defense Ministry, the Brest Regional Military Commissariat, the military units of the Brest Garrison and the Brest Border Group, the regional youth art center and the DOSAAF regional organization.
