MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Kazakhstan in favour of passing a cooperation program to counter the so-called three forces of evil - terrorism, separatism and extremism, as well as the SCO Anti-Drug Strategy for 2024-2029, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Yerlan Baizhanov said when speaking at the expert roundtable session “The SCO unifying potential in the emerging multipolar world,” BelTA has learned.

The diplomat unpacked one of Kazakhstan’s main initiatives in the SCO. “The unprecedented surge in geopolitical tensions is highlighting the urgency to maintain stability in interstate relations. Therefore, Kazakhstan has put forward the initiative World Unity for Just Peace and Harmony that proposes a new security paradigm, a fair economic landscape and a clean environment. It openly promotes a candid dialogue between the Global South and the Global North,” said the ambassador of Kazakhstan.

He emphasized that traditional security threats remain in the focus of attention of the SCO member states and require expansion of the tasks and areas of activity of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.

“We stand for the adoption of a cooperation program to counter the so-called three forces of evil - terrorism, separatism and extremism, as well as the SCO Anti-Drug Strategy for 2024-2029,” the diplomat concluded.
