MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – The memorandum of understanding between the Justice Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia signed on 3 June during the state visit of the Belarusian president to Mongolia will create a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Justice Ministry.

The provisions of the memorandum cover such areas as professional training, information exchange about the legal systems and laws of the two states, and measures to improve them.

According to the Justice Ministry, the joint activities will include consultations, meetings, and seminars on legal issues of mutual interest.

“The signing of the memorandum completed the formation of the legal framework for cooperation with Mongolia in the field of justice,” the Justice Ministry noted. In 2018, the two countries signed interstate agreements  on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, civil and economic matters, as well as on extradition.
