MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – People in Poland who have never had military training before are now called up for drills, Mateusz Jarosiewicz, a Polish publicist, journalist, public figure, expert in international relations and internal affairs of Poland, the author of "Letter to President Lukashenko from the concentration camp Polin [Poland]", said in an interview with Tomasz Szmydt in the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.

“One of my two-hour programs was dedicated to the following topic. People in Poland who have never undertaken military training before are now called up for exercises. And this makes us think (it drew the attention of our lawyers and people who were in the army) that people who were summoned could be subject to coercion and manipulation in order to make them take the military oath during literally two-day exercises,” Mateusz Jarosiewicz said.

Thus, the journalist assumes that this might be the way to draft people into the army: “After two days of training, they may have no choice but to simply go to the front. I don’t know whether these will be publicists or ordinary guys. I’m just afraid and I am telling you this so that Poland and the Poles will not be thrown into a meat grinder for the sake of Western corporate interests.”
