MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, National Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals Anatoly Isachenko has met with UNICEF Representative in Belarus Tanja Radocaj, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament.
The parties discussed the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation with UNICEF through the National Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals, including on the eve of International Children's Day, which is celebrated on 1 June.
“It is important for us to build cooperation on concrete projects, which are tangible for the citizens of Belarus. That is why I would like to stress once again the importance of the regional aspect in our work,” the vice-speaker of the Council of the Republic said.
The participants of the meeting also considered the prospects for the implementation of the international technical assistance project to support the functioning of the SDG architecture in Belarus.
