LIDA, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov awarded president of Irkut Corporation Oleg Demchenko with the medal of the 70th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the Nazis during an official ceremony of handing over four new operational trainers Yak-130 to the 116th guard assault airbase, BelTA has learned.
Andrei Ravkov stressed that the new aircraft Yak-130 would contributed to the defense capacity of Belarus and the Union State.
In turn, Oleg Demchenko noted that the delivery of the Russian aircraft to Belarus became possible due to special and confidential relations between the countries. “I assure you that our corporation will have necessary strength and capabilities to supply Belarus with Yak-130 aircraft,” he said. The president of Irkut Corporation expressed hope for signing new contracts on Yak and Su aircraft.
